Little Bit Jones-Somers

Little Bit was my Guardian Angel, my Princess. When I lost my husband, Jimmy Jones, in 1996, I asked God "Where is MY Guardian Angel?" -because I felt so lost and alone. Then I felt a paw.. scratching my leg. I looked down and Little Bit was there.. telling me that SHE was my Angel. She had been her Daddy's girl too.. and she missed him when he was gone.. so she understood my pain too. She was our baby for 17 years. For the last 2 years of her life, she used her Wheels instead of her Legs. For the past 9 years, she also had a new Daddy. She taught her new Dad what it's like to love a '4-legged baby'.

She was always happy - always there for me --- not the other way around. I miss her so much that my chest hurts and I'm crying as I type this up. I held her in my arms and let her go on 1-11-2006. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But.. as a friend of mine said ..'It's the last kind thing you can do'. Little Bit let me know that it was time. When she could no longer sit to eat .. when her eyes were sad.. and finally, when she looked toward the spot in my home where my husband had died.. and barked.. not once, but several times during the middle of the night, for 2 nights.. I KNEW.. Jimmy had come to take her home and she needed to go. SO.. I had to let her go. I thank GOD for everyday he allowed her to stay with me. I know she's running with her brothers and sisters and her 1st Dad.. waiting .. for me, her 2nd Dad and the rest of the family. WE Love You Lu Lu !! We'll see you soon.
