Sassy's story About 6 years ago my friend called me to see if I would give a life long home to her mare, Sassy. I had always loved this horse as she is just so beautiful. My friend was moving out of state and wanted to find Sassy a safe home. She told me that Sassy had cancer in her eye and that she had surgery the previous year and that it might come back. Sure enough Sassy's cancer returned, but this time to her other eye. We took her to Peterson and Smith and had the second surgery performed. Sassy is 19 years old this year and had been doing so good. She had been cancer free up until this past month. The cancer has come back to her left eye and she will need surgery again. Sassy is a darling mare. She is very kind and gentle. She is a chestnut mare, with the kindest eyes. She is a bit sway backed, but no one is perfect. She is a dear friend to my 11 year old daughter. We have never ridden Sassy, but she is a pet who loves to be groomed and pampered. At this time I don't have enough money to get her surgery done. My credit card is maxed out due to the high hospital costs of Mr. Bean. Sincerely, Cathy
