Holly was my Christmas present (2008). She is a former shelter puppy. One week before Christmas,6-week old Holly was diagnosed with Parvo. She spent a week on IV therapy. When she came home, we discovered she suffered some nerve damage to the pads of her left front leg, and was dragging it on the ground. She was rubbing the fur off her bottom knuckle. The vet mentioned amputation, butI was determined to find somehting to help her.I found the answer to Holly's problem-the front leg splint designed to help with lower leg nerve damage. I did not know what the final outcome would be with Holly's leg but I was going to give the splint a try to help whatever way I could in her recovery even if she had to wear one the rest of her life. It took her 2 days to get used to wearing th splint, but boy could she get around. After about 6 weeks of splint therapy, Holly was no longer dragging her leg. The vet could not believe how much she had recovered. She is now 8 months old and has 100% use of her leg without a splint. I am so glad I bought the splint for her. Thanks handicapped pets.
